Win a copy of On Trying to Become a French Paysan by Garry Holding

Written by on May 12, 2017 in Competitions

When Garry holding and his family moved to France, they were welcomed by their French neighbours and had a rapid introduction to everything French. The wonderful sense of community and neighbourly support shines throughout this tale, as well as the family’s 100% commitment to their adopted country. The amazing and hard working couple brought up their own children, coping with the problems children normally have, but also settling them into a new country and additionally becoming foster family for mentally handicapped people, offering them stability and support.

It is vividly descriptive of rural French life, and for anyone who loves to cook, there are a lot of recipes to try. It’s a no holds barred, frank look at what rural French life is really like. Absorbing reading, whether you are just looking for a good story, or you decide to make the move.
