Win a copy of Le Selfie Gascon by Perry Taylor

Written by on July 6, 2018 in Competitions

Le Selfie Gascon is Perry Taylor’s third book of humorous drawings from France.

It’s a work of gentle wit and humour from the artist who takes inspiration from daily life in the south of France. Beautifully drawn scenes of life in Gascony, old ladies on bikes, avenues of plane trees and fields of golden wheat conjure up an image of rural France in the far south. There are picture of people going about their every day business from farmers on tractors to the postman and old men sitting on a bench in a town square talking of this and that. Gentle images, and very funny too, drawn with love for this bucolic part of France where life is ruled by the seasons and the food and wine that Gascony is famous for. Those who know France will smile in recognition at the images Perry creates and those who would like to know France will love how he has captured the quality of the good life.

This is a lovely hardback book with 86 original drawings that will make you smile, your friends will want to borrow this one and never return it!
