Raina Stinson is an international multi-award winning photographer. An American based in the south of France. And on this 6-night tour, she’ll help you create gorgeous photos. It doesn’t matter whether you use a DLSR or mobile phone camera, or whatever your skill level is. She’ll help you take better photos during the day and night. You’ll discover how to use photo editing apps, learn how to tell stories through imagery and much more. And as a special souvenir, Raina will take a portrait photo of you to take home.

Raina joins your host, American Emily Durand, a long-time Provence local. She knows all the best restaurants, cafés, bakeries and cake shops, the most exquisite villages and towns and secret lavender fields where you can take photos to your heart’s content.

Provence tour of the best and most secret villages

Rickety old wooden door in a stone building in Provence

This unique and very special tour takes place in July against a backdrop of singing cicadas. There are lavender fields in full bloom, fields of smiling sunflowers and bougainvillea flowers trailing over walls – creating splashes of vibrant red and fuschia. The countryside is full of rich colour. The sunsets are spectacular. Cobbled streets and castles and charming little villages. These backdrops for your photos are nothing short of bewitching. And this time of the year is a photographer’s dream.

You’ll visit a market and explore gorgeous Gordes before heading to high Provence. A land of wonderful countryside and authentic villages with the most exquisite architecture, boutiques, cafés and stunning views.

Sault, Brantes, Aurel, and Montbrun-les-Baines, which, like Gordes is an officially prettiest village in France, and many more are on your itinerary.

Enjoy foraging and cookery lessons, a lavender distillery tour and markets. Guided village tours and even a visit to an observatory to see the stars at night make this a most special tour that reveals the real life of Provence, it’s history and culture.

You’ll be driven everywhere in comfort. And all meals are organised, from dining al fresco in a lavender field to beautiful bistros loved by the locals. Bastille Day takes place during the tour and that night is always very special celebration.

Though this tour packs a lot in, there’s still plenty of time to relax. You’ll stay in a lovely stone-built 19th century guest house with its swimming pool and enjoy breath-taking views over the regional natural park on the lavender route in Montbrun-les-Bains.
