French Bargain Property October 2017

Written by on October 6, 2017 in Property for sale

This month we’re heading to the village of Dunet in the department of Indre, region Centre. This lovely 5 bedroom house caught our attention, reduced from an already bargain price of €77,000, it’s now up for sale at just €36,000 – about what you’d pay for a mid-range family car!

Local agents Debra and Les Bush of Leggett Immobilier say it’s an impressive village house.

French Bargain Property : Indre, Centre

“This large property could become a lovely family home with a bit of work” says Debra. Situated in the heart of a pretty village it has spacious living areas on the ground floor and five double bedrooms on the first floor. The garden at the back of the property is a good size with gated access.

As you enter the house, the hall has a wood burning fire and tiled floor. The dining room also has a lovely black and white tiled floor and a wood burning stove. The third room on the ground floor which could be a lounge, has views to the back of the property. The kitchen is at the back of the house and leads to the utility room and larder. There is a cellar and big lean-to which could be useful for storage. Upstairs there are wood floors in all the large bedrooms and there is loft space to provide further accommodation. The garden has gates for vehicle access and to the side of the house is a garage.

The property is ideally situated just 4km (2.5 miles) from the lovely village of Chaillac with local amenities such as a bars and restaurant, pharmacy, grocers and boulangeries. The A20 autoroute is 5km away and the towns of Le Blanc and Argenton sur Creuse are approximately 30km away.

The closest airport is Limoges with regular flights to the UK. The area is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
