And there are also fashion and architecture themed shows. Les Chateaux de France is perfect for lovers of gorgeous castles featuring the greats such as Chantilly (above), Fontainebleau and Pierrefonds. The series digs into the history of these fabulous buildings and the photography is stunning.

Concerts and performances

A rich offering of cultural and arts programmes features a diverse range of music. From classical performances to Cameroon hip-hop, and performance arts. Music opera Le Vol du Boli promises to be of interest. Abderrahmane Sissako and Damon Albarn (Gorillaz/Blur) recount the path of a Malian fetish animist, a Boli, transporting us from Africa to Europe, from the 12th century to the 21st century.
