4-6 April – Les Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art

European Days of Crafts invites the public to meet men and women of passion, artisans and producers of lace, cabinets, leather and all areas of craftsmanship as 5000 events take place across France. Professionals reveal their secrets and ground breaking discoveries in a series of workshops, demonstrations of skills, open doors in the training centres as well as exhibitions, conferences or seminars. BRITTANY: La Fête de la Coquille St Jacques 12th & 13th April at the port of Erquy.  Two days of fetivities at the home of the scallop! The ports of Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Loguivy-de-la-mer and Erquy organise an annual festival in honour of the queen of the sands. Boat trips, music, special menus and tastings. CANNES: Cannes Shopping Festival: 19th – 21st April 2014 Since 2004, beautiful people, fashionistas and dandies have started the year with a spree on the Croisette. Moringhem, Pas de Calais – For the whole month of April the villagers of Moringhem adorn their village with a Scarecrow Festival – 40,000 visitors turn up every year to see them!
