Megabus.com, the UK Stagecoach budget coach operation service yesterday announced (16/4/12) that it has launched a new service from major pick up points all over the UK to Paris, Boulogne, Amsterdam and Brussels.
Tickets are being advertised starting at a price of £1.50 single from London to France though that wasn’t available when we looked. However a typical fare was £10.00 each way from the UK to Paris leaving any day next week and returning five days later.
We contacted Megabus to find out more about the service and they told us that the full timetable for UK to Europe will be published on their site online from 19th April 2012.
It’s a no frills, cheap journey, though it does take longer than flying or travelling on Eurostar at around 8.5 hours from London Victoria to Paris Porte Maillot Coach Park. For £20.00 return – it is likely to get a lot of happy customers who won’t mind an extra couple of hours and a numb bum!
