June is Mollière Month at Versailles

Written by on June 2, 2012 in Paris

Mollière month has been going for 17 years now at Versailles. Held in honour of France’s greatest comedic playwright, this month the organisers aim to put on more than 300 musical and theatrical performances between 1st and 30th June with the great majority of them free to the public. Plays by Mollière, Shakespeare and modern writers some of whom have created plays to be shown exclusively at this event or premiered here will be performed at various venues including public parks, gardens and theatre. The diversity of performances reflects a desire to appeal to a wide audience by presenting a rich culture and variety of styles of theatre every year and in fabulous settings.

For full details of the programme, times and venues see the Mois Mollière website.
